Chimayo Weavings
New Mexico Tapestry Rugs represent the best in Western trading post designs. These rug are made in the town of Chimayo in northern New Mexico. Each is approximately 20 inches by 60 inches long and is finely woven of the softest wool. Their delicate weave makes them perfect for use as table runners or wall hangings. The art of Chimayo weaving is of Spanish origin, and was brought to New Mexico by Spanish colonists who settled along the Rio Grande valley.
