Michael Natale
Michael Natale was born and raised in East Chicago, just a 20-minute train ride away from the Art Institute of Chicago. As a high school student with a great interest in arts, he was able to absorb the Institute’s exhibitions of master’s works, which solidified his dream of becoming an artist.
After high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Southeast Asia. He was wounded and spent several months in the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, where he also visited the Philadelphia Art Institute.
He returned to Chicago and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology School of Design. He worked as a graphic artist for several years and opened his own design studio. In 1993, he moved to Colorado to pursue his primary interest in fine art.
His work is included in private collections throughout the U.S. He is a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
